This will be my forth year teaching at Redhills Primary School and my second year
teaching in Year 5. As a teacher, I am passionate about being able to help pupils
learn and discover new skills. I want to enable children to enjoy and make the most
of their time during primary school and help prepare them for the rapidly evolving
world that awaits them once they leave.
I started my journey into teaching at the University of St Mark & St John, where I studied Applied Sports Science and Coaching before completing my Initial Teacher Training with the Devon Primary SCITT - ranked Number 1 nationally for their Overall Quality of Training.
As an active individual, I have always been interested and involved in sport based
activities, participating frequently in my spare time. My interest within sports has led me to complete many qualifications and use them to work within sporting fields within the local community. I have worked as a coach with a local under 11’s
football team, sharing my experience and knowledge with the children.
Outside of teaching, the majority of my free time is spent on days out, either to the
local zoo or going for walks in the country with my wife and my two children. I have
also just taught my eldest daughter to ride a bike and have enjoyed exploring some of the local cycle paths together.
