Welcome to Reception – Cherry Class
Class Teachers: Eve Perry & Kim West
After finishing university in 2010, I worked as a teaching assistant in Key Stage 1 until completing a PGCE in 2015, specialising in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
I joined Redhills Primary School in 2015 as a Reception class teacher. I love working with children and families that are starting their school journey, and am always excited to see the progress they make as they make their way through the school.
I am passionate about helping children to achieve their very best and to obtain important learning skills that will benefit them for the rest of their time in education.
Outside of school, I have two young children so enjoy spending time with my family, getting out and about in the beautiful Devon countryside.
After studying for my teaching degree in Brighton, I always knew I wanted to come back to Devon to teach to be near to my family. I joined the Redhills team in 2015 after working in a variety of schools across Devon. Since being at the school, I have worked in both Key Stages 1 and 2.
I love teaching at Redhills. I am always so proud of the children’s achievements and seeing them all flourish into amazing learners and members of our community. Working in reception class means I get to help them start their journey at Redhills and foster that love of learning for the future.
Outside of school, I spend time with my two little boys who keep me very busy. I enjoy going for walks, barbeques on the beach and exploring different parts of Devon. I love to travel to different countries and I am keen to take my boys when they are older too!
